Winter wonderland
Don’t things just look prettier in winter? And the colder it is outside the prettier everything looks! I ventured out to my yard, and took a few shots. I call this series “The back 40 at -40.” But we’ve passed the seasonal hump, and as of today the days are getting longer and warmer – and summer is officially on its way.

Time well wasted…
It’s back to work for many of us – the summer holiday season is over for many and school and desks are the new normal for the next 3 months. So how did you spend the last long weekend of the summer?
I had a great time at Winnipeg Beach with good friends, enjoying the fine weather and the “sea shore” vibe of that strip of beaches along the west side of the lake. Veranda culture! Long large and airy verandas that face the lake, the full-on breeze sweeping its way inside to keep the happy occupants cool; and with the rushing and breaking of the waves who wouldn’t agree that this is a first class way to spend the long weekend.
