It’s the end of October and it still feels like summer! Without the time change (which happens soon) my morning walks with the TroyBoy are quite magical. Warm breezes, not biting cold; glorious sunrises, at least the start of them, followed by bright and bearable autumn days. But I know the cold and snow are coming. Even after all these years, I find it hard to steel myself for this eventuality.
With so many things in life that are unpredictable, we should be grateful for those things that we can predict. Like the sunrise! This is a pretty bad iphone shot of yesterday’s morning walk. Sunrise and sunset on the prairies is a sure thing, and photo-worthy moments are almost guaranteed.
Don’t get me wrong, winter sunrises can be stunning too, and they happen later so you still get to sleep, but when is -35C there is little temptation to savour that moment!
So for the next couple of days, where ever you are, get up before the sun, and check out the sky. Amazement is inevitable, camera or not.
TTFN! (& seize the day)
