I’m selling my backup Nikon D300 – it’s in perfect condition. 
Both the sensor and body are pristine. This camera has only 9416 shutter actuations since it’s a back up and mostly was used for testing and the odd “around the house” shot when I grabbed whatever camera was available!

It’s a strange propensity, we humans have, for making note of these things we have come to call “special occasions.”
Marking an anniversary, a birthday, or another special date seems to be a cross cultural ritual. Maybe it comes from our ancient ancestors who would use the sun and moon to track seasons, food supplies and times to move to follow the food. And to ensure a consistent life, they’d remember that particular place of the sun or moon in the sky and repeat as necessary. Which leads back to where we started, coming full circle. [Read more...]

Today I received the official announcement that the Winnipeg Art Gallery (WAG) has accepted me to be one of their photographic artists, with works on display at their big Gala fundraiser in January.

On March 25, 2011, The Professional Photographers of Canada, Manitoba chapter, selected Alexandra Morrison as the Photographer of the Year.
