It’s a great mix and once again I am heading back to the Bugaboos for a week of mountain hikes and photography. Last year my partner in crime was my good buddy Kayla and we went to the Bobbie Burns lodge due to renos at the Bugaboos. It was way more fun that my first solo trip, the weather was better and I know what to expect. But this year she can’t make it – fortunately a few of our other “fast friends” we met last year are coming back this year.
Is it too self-indulgent – these trips? Besides the photography and camaraderie, the experience is definitely soul replenishing. So I think it’s almost a necessity! I have a few p laces that I really want to see on this trip, most notably Thunderwater lakes – with its vast meadows of wild flowers and sparkling turquoise water.
I will be going mirrorless on this trip (mostly) with the Sony a6000. Is it the ideal hiker’s outdoor camera? I will let you know.
