Another archive. Think back….way back..way out back…The Seine River. Back in the day, along the banks of the Seine River there was always a photo waiting for a click. It didn’t matter if we were skating on the rink in winter, or walking through the trails in summer, this was one of my favourite places.
Fast forward to 2015 – Things to do on a rainy and snowy May long weekend?…Sort old slides!! Again.
This is a scan from one of those old film slides from around 1979 0r 80. Shot with my old but then new Minolta XG7 – which BTW I am selling after soooo many years but that’s a story for another post…
I edited this one in Photoshop to bring up the colours and reduce the fading, then using the Topaz Impression plugin I gave it this impressionistic look.
It was a great photo, but the scanning process create artifacts and squashed the shadows. So sometimes the only thing you can so with am image like this is to go with the flow…and transform it.
Oh, those trails just out my back door, was I lucky or what? Art was indeed everywhere.
