I have been going through all those old Kodak carousels – and now I am tackling the albums! Don’s photo has a program where you buy a shoebox (es a real shoebox!) and in it you add all your old print photos and when you return the full box to the store, they will scan all your images and burn them on CD or DVD. Do I have enough photos to fill my my shoebox? I think Ill need a pallet of boxes. My dad was a way more prolific photographer than I am! Plus many of the photos were taken even before he and my mom met – So the photographer (s) remain unknown.
That’s my dad in the military uniform – the guy on the left without the hat – but it’s sometimes hard to tell if it’s a hat or his hair – he had Kramer hair long before Seinfeld was born! I think he was 17 in this photo.
Anyway, if you have a lot of prints, I recommend the Don’s shoebox for scanning them and making sure that you have them backed up on CDs and memory sticks (gives them a whole new meaning now doesn’t it!! LOL).
I found this old Christmas photo, this one is another treasured Christmas memory, my dad, sister and me on Christmas eve… and I remember these Christmases well too. Just before I figured Santa wasn’t who I thought he was…
