Until this past weekend, I was without a “real” computer for 2 months! It was fried (again) in a power outage – that’s another story! For processing these large files from the Nikon D800 i need a pretty powerful machine and nothing at any of the local computer stores was suitable. 
Plus there was not a person on the planet who recommended I get Windows 8 – so it was a quest of epic proportions to to find what I needed. And please don’t tell me I should have gotten a MAC , when Mac’s go bad they go really BAD!!! Anyway, the new Dell arrived on Friday and I have been spending days getting it set up and downloading all the software etc.
Which leaves be soooooo far behind in my do do list. But I did manage a short trip with the cameras on Saturday and now that I have a computer that actually works I can start processing and posting again.
I want to make something special from one of them, one nice surprise deserves another don’t you think? And when someone makes your day, it deserves acknowledgement.

Thank you SuDhir! I have been not too active since getting home from taking care of my dad. But I am feeling better and with my new computer I can edit photos again so I think I will be back posting a lot. I have a new tutorial on square photos coming this weekend on the main website, nature-photography-central.com.
