to find you had an extra $100,000 in your pocket. What would you do with it?
I’m sure many things would come to mind – fix the roof, new car, donate something to your favorite charity…the list is as long as the chain of bills laid end to end.
But here’s what made my heart beat faster:
National Geographic Photo Expedition Wildlife of the World by Private Jet, a 23-day wildlife photography journey to Borneo, Nepal, Rwanda, Madagascar and more. Only $68,450! no typo – ( I think I could handle the fear of flying in a private jet!). if you had $100K you could go on this trip and still have a bit left over for all of the above!!
I have been giving a lot of thought lately to the rest of my life, the first half was pretty good. But I don’t want to waste the rest. So what do I want to do next? The first half was about ‘getting stuff”. Getting a job, getting a house, buying stuff – you know the toys, cameras and gear included.
But what I want now is to experience! Hang gliding was the start – and I will have more about that soon too, but isn’t life about experiences – not about furniture or shoes? Traveling, seeing new places, fun with friends, etc. I have had a year to really let this sink in and to take shape, and I am so close to knowing what my “mid life crisis” will look like. 🙂
It will involve a camera to be sure. And maybe aircraft. But it will be an experience. Care to join me?!
