This past few weeks have been a major unwinding of the old – I could say unraveling, but it’s not quite as bad as that implies. It feels more like a clearing and making way for many things new. There is lots of room for new and improved! It’s scary but quite invigorating as I really feel like I’m ushering a “new era.”
- Some key people here at work are moving on…
- My dog died…
- A lot of big things broke, mundane, yes – but everything from the dishwasher to my car is in the process of being fixed.
The unsettling of the status quo is in full on mode!
Maybe its just that time in life when people say, OK, enough – time to fully DO what I’ve been putting off, or starting to tackle the bucket list! The so called “mid life crisis!” I don’t have a bucket list. But there are many things I want to do, and improve.
Ad the Big Sweep seems to be telling me that now’s the time. Look out for New and Improved!
How do you deal with big changes? Do you feel insecure and reluctant, or to you embrace the challenge to “do it different?”
Have there been any big surprise events in your life that spurred a major life decision for you? How did your decision about this change your life?
Have you dealt with situations where the old way has to be cast aside, and you are forced to take a new path?
I’m really interested in hearing about tipping points – the crossroads, the “game changers” in your life. Let me know what you did when faced with these?
I’ll leave you with this to ponder.
“Time has been transformed, and we have changed; it has advanced and set us in motion; it has unveiled its face, inspiring us with bewilderment and exhilaration.” |
