Remember the image I created a few weeks back for the provincial image salon, when I was inspired by the weird way in which the universe works, after bumping into that old friend? It was loosely about chaos theory and the interconnectedness and infinite nature of time and space. I was seeking suggestions for a title.
Blueshacker (aka Sydney Youngman) was the person who submitted my favorite title, which naturally I submitted for the competition. And today I found out the image won “Excellence”. See the winning image here.
There is something very remarkable in the way this all works and I do not understand much of it, but things DO happen for a reason: This was the second of the 4 images I submitted to win Excellence. 2 Excellents in one show is not an easy thing to do. Had I not been so inspired would my last image be remotely worthwhile? Until that day, I do not think I had anything of excellent quality that was suitable for the image salon! Once again is instrumental in this photography life of mine!
But what of other side of this happenstance? Did our meeting transform any of the fabric of my friend’s universe in any more or less profound way? I would love to know… these seemingly mundane collisons of life have been well known to set in motion other chains of swirling and spiraling events that unfold in infinite ways. Synchronous. Synchronicity. A co-creation of our universe.
And today I am grateful that I live in such an extraordinary and mysterious world.
🙂
