Yes, it could be a credit card commercial but it’s a common notion – house on fire, first thing you grab after you know the kids and the pets are ok? Your Photo albums.
Are they really priceless?
Your own photos are your life in a tangible memory, they enable you to live the good times all over again. To seize the day one more time. To return hearts and souls back to your spirit; to breathe more vividness into those past experiences long faded with TIME (always in the way, isn’t it!)
For a business, if one photograph can bring in one new customer, that could be worth thousands, depending on your industry. (Do you know the lifetime value of one of your cutomers?) One great photo on a billboard, on a website, on a brochure could easily be responsible for hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of business. We’re visual animals, us humans. We react to what we see.
So what is one photo really worth?
More than pennies on microstock sites. More than your hourly rate. More than you will ever know.
OMG where does the time go? First, I run into an old colleague last week and he says it’s been 17 years since we worked together! Holy timewarb Batman! Then I look at the calendar and it’s been a week since I posted anything here!!! I have so much to tell you too – so how can I be so clueless about the time?
So let’s just get to the point(s) shall we, the Stupor Bowl is over and it’s the start of another week. My main question:
What is the value of one photograph?
