While the Okanagan Valley is almost guaranteed to be warm and dry most of the year (which it was this trip too), the weather in the Rockies is not so reliable. For Christmas this year I received one of those DNA testing kits that allow you to trace your roots. Very interesting! Young forever, forever young
I had dinner last night with some girls I have known since grade 6! We have recently all reconnected and have been getting together for the past few years. It’s really fascinating how different but still the same everyone is. I think we all look pretty much the same, easy enough to match us to our yearbook photos for sure.
And time has contoured the personalities, carved a bit more deeply into the idiosyncrasies, made bolder the quirks and talents, and faded and softened the sometimes harsh attributes we all possess as teenagers. But in our essence we are all the same.
