From one of my early morning walks with my old dog… he was nine last spring when I adopted him from the Rottie rescue shelter. I was finally able to read his almost hidden ear tattoo, which once decoded indicated he had been neutered in December. Dogs usually get this done at 6 months of age so I calculated his birthday would have been sometime in the summer. In 2017 he would have turned 10. And sometime soon he will be 11! Ancient for a Rottie. So i love everyday I have with him, and although long walks are not part of our days anymore, many short ones are. And we see the most amazing things!
