Since November, I have been planning a May 2017 private photo workshop in Bodie, CA – a ghost town in a state of “suspended decay.” But in December it was badly damaged by an earthquake not far from the town. Shortly after, it received something like 10 feet of snow…Before the engineers could get there to assess its safety after the quake, it has snowed another 3 feet or so. Enough that the engineers wouldn’t be able to make it till spring. This week I got an email from from the park that it wouldn’t likely be opened and safety-checked before my workshop.
Traveling from Winnipeg to California for something that may not happen is not a good plan. So it has now been postponed. 🙁
I’m looking for another photo tour this summer, back to the helicopter (?) or should I try something new?
So, while I figure out what the Universe trying to tell me – I will be right here in the Peg…at least my new boy Troy will be happy. WOOF!
