Wintery greetings from in between the holidays! I just had to post this even though it has nothing to do (directly) with photography or adventures.In between meetings and holiday lunches with friends back in town for the season, I was randomly flipping through Twitter when an image caught my eye – OMG yes it was the infamous Mount Royal Hotel in Banff -on FIRE!
I had last stayed there only last summer on my way to the Bugaboos for a heli-hiking photography extravaganza, and in the exact same floor where the fire broke out.
Fortunately, according to the latest news, the owners will rebuild and it will rise again from the ashes. here are a few photos (not mine).
