Yeah, I remember that old disco classic! Quite well. I’m afraid. 🙂 It’s funny what memories stay with you and which vanish into the universe.
The things I remember – but what major moments I have forgotten!
Many firsts – first day at university, first day I drove by myself. My first valentine, and a few more too, How could I let these just go?? Boy what I would do to get some of these magic moments back. Hey hey hey hey – Simple Minds.
Last year on Valentine’s Day I was on a little bus with 13 friends heading to Utah, Arizona and New Mexico. THAT I remember!
This year (Valentine’s Day) Facebook popped up a friend’s photo that I was tagged in from 34 years ago. I had totally forgotten when it was taken. A bunch of us in a snowbank on a ski trip, one friend is dead now, the other was a single serving friend met the first and last time on that trip. and the others I still remember well and see often.
And so, Valentine’s Day again. No matter what you have forgotten or remember or think of the commercialism of the day, it is a great time to reflect on ALL our relationships – past and present. Future? Whatever you remember – the very fact that we humans can love and be loved is pretty special.
