The lure of the American Southwest is legendary among photographers, especially us from the cold Canadian flatlands. With the emergence of tools like Instagram and Pinterest, we see outstanding images of all the amazing and photogenic places of the arid southwest, making the pull to see these place even more powerful.
From the iconic Grand Canyon, to the slot canyons of Page, Arizona the southwest is truly a photographer’s dream. Scenery like nothing anywhere else on the planet, and the hand-in-hand challenge of how to capture what have become photographic cliches in a new and original way. I challenge I fully accept.
And now I will be making the trek, a road trip to Utah. Arizona and New Mexico for a southwest sampler photo-tour. My plan is to gather info to create several intense and concentrated tours in each area and go back with a group next year. If you’re even a bit interested in coming on a tour with let me know.
This year’s adventure itinerary includes, Arches National Park, The grand Canyon, and White Sands National Monument. Of course I will share the photos with you. 🙂
