It’s back to work for many of us – the summer holiday season is over for many and school and desks are the new normal for the next 3 months. So how did you spend the last long weekend of the summer?
I had a great time at Winnipeg Beach with good friends, enjoying the fine weather and the “sea shore” vibe of that strip of beaches along the west side of the lake. Veranda culture! Long large and airy verandas that face the lake, the full-on breeze sweeping its way inside to keep the happy occupants cool; and with the rushing and breaking of the waves who wouldn’t agree that this is a first class way to spend the long weekend.
Despite the rib issue, I was able to take some photos. Although there were too many people enjoying the famous piers I finally did get to at least see them and gabbed a few pics just as souvenirs. The big “find” was when my friend Andrew spied an eagle landing in a spruce tree across the way.
Wine, lunch, walks, neighbors, parents – It was an awfully fun time and I’m grateful for having such good friends! Hope yours was equally grand!
Be sure to follow me on instagram, @naturephotographycentral for live real time images of the awesomest helihiking photography trip staring this week. I hope my ribs don’t let me down…
