A great surprise! I was offered a nice little gig with another inner city school to help orchestrate a photoshoot for a special school project.
The kids will be playing handmade and painted flutes withe the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, and to commemorate the are going to make a book. The school asked me to help the kids take the photos of themselves and their flutes, and a quote or poem they have written to celebrate their heritage.
Here are 2 ways the final photos could look.
A three step process:
Step 1) photograph each other using simple backlight technique to achieve a silhouette and a halo.
Step 2: art photos of the flutes
Step 3) Select, edit and assemble the photos and create the pages – and send the files to the publisher.
What do you think? I know it will be very powerful when these young artists see their final product 🙂
