being back in the city after a week or so away I can’t say that my spirits were boosted to be home. it’s still cold here!! And there are no leaves on the trees yet. Compare that to last year when the leaves were out in March!! And one of the most soothing sounds in the world is the trembling of poplar leaves in the evening breeze.
Of course the other well known calming sound is the sound of gentle waves splashing on shore. We won’t have this this long weekend either. So if you’re heading to the beach it may be a cool and quiet weekend. However, let’s not forget that may Long has never been known for it’s stellar weather. I have so many memories of camping in a wet tent, or freezing in a cottage with no fire wood – all since used over the winter.
The best thing to do is to take advantage of what mother nature is offering and go with the flow. I’m finishing up an article of bad weather photography – just in time of this weekend’s festivities!
Are you off to the lake this weekend? Bad weather photography and fireworks, would be your best bet for photo ops in the next few days. Be sure to read both these articles, if you need ideas, inspiration or a refresher in fireworks photography.
I’m also wrapping up the last bits of my photography mentorship programs – if you want personalized attention and focused and targeted activities for improving your images I think you’ll enjoy the mentorship program. You can participate no matter where you are in the world. More next week.
There you have it for now, have a great long weekend and remember to celebrate the little things in life – MOMENTS DO MATTER!
