Took the ferry from Galena Bay this morning. A well kept secret- but you’d better be Mario Andretti for the drive that follows.
The crossing was smooth sailing. The view, stunning. If you have the time take this scenic route across Arrow Lake enroute to Vernon.
Be prepared for a roller coaster road race as your ferry mates leap from the ship like sprinters at sound of the starters gun! It’s the narrowest of roads and has more hairpin turns and switchbacks than Spacemountain!
With speed limits varying between 20 kph and 100 kph within half mile spans, if you don’t throw up in the first 5 minutes you’ll have a most excellent time and stories to tell as a survivor of Hwy#6 west!
