The PPOC Manitoba Image Salon Judging took place yesterday. I didn’t go for the morning session, it was too great a day outside to be hunkered down indoors on a dark room even if it was to look at phenomenal photos. I’ve been waiting for the warmth of spring for a long time now and to be outdoors to enjoy those first warming rays of the sun seemed the right thing to do. However
However I did go to the Judging after lunch. It was a different kind of warmth there. One of my images scored an Excellent, another was accepted, although 1 judge scored it excellent and another 2 gave it a Merit, but another judge didn’t like it at all and unfortunately for me “talked” the others down. But it was accepted and based on their comments I know what to do to improve it for the National Salon coming up. But I’m very pleased and honoured to get one Excellent – these were tough judges!
The other 2 images I submitted were judged in the morning so I didn’t hear the commentary nor do I know yet how they scored. I will know soon though.
I’ll be posting them all here once I know the final results – but I may wait till after the nationals. 🙂
Enjoy these amazing extraordinary spring day – the trees are budding out already and I saw a couple of geese flying over my pond. Monday is going to be awesome….Woohoo!
