With the provincial PPOC Image Salon judging happening this weekend, I thought I’d share some of my iPhone apps for photography with you. (part of my evil shameless self promotion tactic this week, hehehehe!). I have 3 folders with nothing but photo apps organized by function so
there’s one for cameras, one for arty post processing, and one for basic image editing. Why so many apps??? Well, a girl can’t have too many photo toys! But I’m afraid I’m a bit old school here – i was absolutely horrified that I was being asked to pay .99 for an app. “Ninety-nine cents, are you kidding me – WTF is this all about?! ”
Seriously when we pay over $1000 for Adobe Creative Suite, all of a sudden .99 is a crime? ha ha. So anyway I got over that shock and went on to accumulate about 30.00 in photo apps. (last of the big time spenders!)
But in my special quest – which I’ll share with you after the PPOC Image Salon, I did “invest” and I’m so far happy that I did.
My App recommendations this week are:
- Slow Shutter, does what it says;
- Average Camera Pro (multiple exposures);
- Snapseed (free this week with a Starbucks freebie card, go to Starbucks now and get it – save 4.99);
- BIG Lens (add depth of field to hi res images).
What apps do you have on your phone? Care to share 🙂 Let me know what are your favs and why. Take a screenshot (home button and off button at the same time) and send me the link.
Download and install my fav apps on your iPhone, then c’mon down to the Judging on Saturday morning to see some phenomenal photography, and to hear educational critiques, high comedy banter, and watch the dynamics of the Jury Chair vs the Judges. It’s the best Saturday morning you’ll spend in the dark (almost).
