Back to School

Yes, I’m back in school. Grades 3 and 5 to be exact. Back in the fall I was invited to be a “resident artist” for Winnipeg School Division, teaching kids photography and helping teachers integrate the art form into the curriculum…

So far it’s been a blast – the kids are so cool and I am blown away by their creativity! I’m hoping to be able to post some photos here of all the activities. I will post the best art photos – their WOW shots. Although I have never worked so hard in my life (!) being “on” continually for 5 hours at a time is a crazy schedule and even when I do “normal” photography workshops the longest stretch is 4 days – not 4 weeks!

Grade 3 kids are so funny – and so fun; and the Grade 5’s are  so eager to try the new techniques to make such amazing photos – with little point & shoot cameras, no less. Awesome!

So I am just finishing downloading today’s images from 10 cards on to may computer to make 10 slideshows for next week! whew!
