New Photography Class in Winnipeg

Is there a camera in your future?  To make sure you get the  most bang for your camera-related holiday gifts, we’re holding a beginner photography class in Winnipeg – Go from Taking Snapshot to Making WOW Shots!  I’ll be delivering this high powered fun filled program so you’ll be learning my favorite award winning tactics and techniques.

As the Manitoba Photographer of the Year this year, and the Canadian Photographic Artist of the Year in 2007, you can be sure I have some tricks up my sleeve 🙂 and I’ll share them with you. 

No other photography class in Winnipeg is taught by a recipient of  Canadian Photographer of the Year award! Lucky you. 

It doesn’t matter what kind of camera you got for the holidays – this course is designed to be independent of your camera – it’s about how to be creative with it!

Photography Class in Winnipeg – boot camp fun!

This “boot-camp” format photography program is designed so that no matter what camera you have (or get for Christmas, hehehe!) you’ll be able to take super cool, and eye popping photos by the end of this course.  Yes, there will be lots to still learn, but once you see what you’re capable of without having to learn a lot of technical stuff, you’ll WANT to come back to learn the advanced camera techniques.

This photography class program is offered twice in the new yet.  The first will be delivered over 3 Sundays in Winnipeg in January, the second will be one will be in March. This program is limited to 10 participants and you must register by January 2, 2010. Here’s what the photography class/course looks like:

Photography Class 1,

Sunday #1 (10:00 – 4:00)  The Basics of Photography and how your camera works.  Yes, it’s a bit technical but you’ll be amazed what your camera can really do. Lunch. Learning to SEE, how to use that viewfinder to your advantage! Hands on photography exercise to apply what you learned during the day – you’ll be taking lots of photos!.

Photography Class 2:

Sunday #2 (10:00 – 4:00): The Fundamentals of WOW Shots. What differentiates a snapshot from a great photograph – we’ll find out!  The 5 simple techniques you can do with any camera to transform your photographs from snapshots to WOW shots. YES, YOU can do it!  Lunch. Making WOW shots, shooting and taking photos using these easy techniques. You’ll be taking lots more photos 🙂

Photography Class 3:

Sunday#3 (10:00 – 4:00): Introduction to Photoshop and digital image editing. Lunch. Creating your image assignment using Photoshop. How to critique your images, determine if they are WOW shots, how to prepare them for the “Exhibition.”  Lunch.  The big reveal – the Exhibition – showing your photos to your class mates and telling us the story of your great WOW shots.

 

If you’ve been to any of my photo workshops before you know they are fun most of all, but they are intense learning experiences; you’ll been in the company of other enthusiastic and creative people, and best of all you will take amazing photos – guaranteed!
