Happy 2015, for many this is the first day back at work and it is back to work! And for me the launch of a brand new service/business/adventure.
It’s been about 6 months in the making but it’s a photographers dream job – “partnering” with Google to provide their Business View panorama photos.
I’ve been shooting panorama images indoors and out for about 7 years, even transforming them into 360 virtual images so I am very good technically with this type of photography. And as “luck” goes I somehow got into Google’s training program and here I am, ready to launch this new service in conjunction with Google. For any business with a retail location or a place where clients come, Business View will be an amazing tool.
It’s Street View for the inside of businesses. It lets potential customers see inside the shop, studio, salon, gym, office etc before they actually go there. And because it’s a Google product it gives the business far greater exposure on the search engine pages. I can’t tell you how exciting this is for me. I’ll have more information as I go, my first task is to build the ever important portfolio!
