		<title>Delicate Spring</title>

		<summary type="text">I awoke to mist and fog, so dense you could see it moving, like an alien beast, huffing and puffing and snaking its way through the neighborhood. Inbetween puffs,  I could see the landscape was shrouded in hoar frost, that delicate powdering of ice and frozen alien breath.


A good day to get outside.


Even though I rushed to get going, by the time I hit the road, the sun was up and the blue sky had defeated the interloping mist. But the frost was still breathtaking.</summary>

		<title>Just because...</title>

		<summary type="text">Last Thursday I paid a visit to my friend Dawn at Willow Lane Flowers in Oakbank. We had a great chat and when I left she gave me 24 stunning white roses that looked like a soft silk globe!


They've been delighting my dining room table for over a week and they still look phenomenal. Here's some &amp;quot;before&amp;quot; shots.


Monday I will have some &amp;quot;afters&amp;quot; for you.  The won't look anything remotely like this  


So as Dawn likes to say, why give someone flowers? &amp;quot;Just becasue...&amp;quot;    So this bud's for you!</summary>

I heard a juicy Nikon rumour...Nikon has scheduled a press conference on March 8.  Are they going to announce a new camera? My wish would be for a full frame D800, or whatever the next generation full frame non Dx format will be.

I have qualified to become a &quot;<em><strong>Craftsman of Photographic Arts</strong></em>.&quot;  This is a honour of achievement for winning print/image awards AND doing service for the Professional Photographers of Canada and Manitoba. It's the first level towards a <em>Masters of Photograpy</em>. There's a big presentation for the new CPAs anad MPAs at the PPOC Convention in April. This year the convention is in Quebec. C'est ci bon!

		<title>5 rings and gold, but it looks a little purple on my monitor...</title>

		<summary type="text">Go Canada - did you see that speedskater, Christine Nesbitt go!? Wow, I would have loved to been there with a 1000mm telephoto lens!


Apparently today is my birthday  so I am going to make an investment in a better monitor calibration tool to celebrate! I have been reviewing several including the Pantone Huey. Next week I'll let you know which one I picked and how it works.  


Also don't forget about the Photo Workshop on the 27th (February)  - Professional Photography for Business People, create fab photos for your company website, document important events, and event ake more awesome photos of your family and friends, and learn to use photoshop like a pro.  $99 includes lunch and all course materials.  Register here online.
